A number of people on social media accused prominent trans activist Kami Sid of rape and intimidation on Wednesday night.

The story being recounted is about a trans woman named ‘ Sana, ‘ who is alleged to have been raped in 2015 by Kami Sid and her partner.

Minahil Baloch took to Facebook and claimed that Kami Sid had threatened her with messages after sharing a status about the Cannes film festival on social media. According to Baloch, her original status reads: “Don’t support rapists even if they reach Cannes 2019. Rapists don’t just belong to cis-gender. Rape doesn’t know any gender.”

After that, Baloch alleged that Kami was threatened with making a post about something she didn’t name anyone. Baloch said that Kami and her made it to Cannes had nothing to do with her post. She further alleged that Kami had not threatened anyone for the first time.

Baloch shared screenshots of an exchange she claims to have with Kami in the same post as well. Baloch also shared a post after this, which included screenshots of an email she received from Muhammad Moiz. Muhammad Moiz says he sent the quoted email to Baloch when he spoke to Images. The email contains details of Kami Sid’s allegations of rape.

Reacting to the allegations Kami Sid said: “There’s a group against me. There’s involvement in the personal agendas of people. There’s nothing else I can really say. I have a calm temper and I am a trans woman, people should understand how in the past and in the present trans people have been oppressed.”
