As protests erupted globally against Modi-led Hindu nationalist Indian government for its unilateral and unconstitutional move to abrogate Articles 370 and 35A of its Constitution to change the demographics of occupied Kashmir, a joint protest demonstration was held in France by the Kashmir Council Europe, overseas Pakistanis, the Sikh community and other organizations.

Modi was present in the building during the demonstration followed by his delegation as protesters chanted “Modi terrorist” full-throat slogans.

The protesters in the Sikh community also raised the slogans of “Long Live Kashmir” and “Long Live Khalistan” for expressing solidarity with the oppressed and besieged Kashmiris.

They held posters with slogans “The People of Kashmir Want Freedom” and “The right to choose their political future should be given to Kashmiris.”

Chairman Ahmet Sanver, addressing the protesters, Anatolian Youth Association, branch of Ankara, stressed that the majority of the Kashmir Valley has been under Indian occupation for seven decades.

He said the future and status of Kashmir should be decided by the people of Kashmir, and not by New Delhi.
