Pakistani singer Rahim Shah has tested positive for Coronavirus. The singer announced the news on Twitter and wrote: “This is to Inform you all that I am diagnosed as Covid Positive and staying In Self Isolation. Please take this seriously for the safety of every pakistani as it is not a joke and do pray for my fast recovery. Jazakallah Khair.#needprayers”

His manager said that Shah has quarantined himself in his house after developing some symptoms.

He said that doctors have advised the singer to wait for 24 hours while adopting precautionary measures.

Earlier, Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has tested positive for coronavirus.

The all-rounder, 40, who last played for Pakistan in 2018 but still plays in global Twenty20 leagues, has been helping the relief effort in his home country during the pandemic.

On Saturday he tweeted that he had been feeling unwell since Thursday with body aches and has since tested positive.
