Shehzad Ghias Shaikh, a renowned podcaster and one of Pakistan’s foremost stand-up comedians, headlined his solo comedy show at the prestigious Broadway Comedy Club last week.

On Friday, Shehzad played to a sold-out main room as Pakistanis packed in for a night full of laughs. Host and content creator Shazia Nawaz shared her thoughts after the show: “It was definitely an amazing show. I feel fortunate to have been there. We still remember when Shehzad Ghias started his career and to not even be 40 and be performing on Broadway, that’s something!”Shehzad, who holds an MA in Theatre from Brooklyn College, began performing stand-up comedy in Pakistan in 2009.
Over the last 17 years, he has built a remarkable name for himself in both stand-up comedy and podcasting.Brooklyn-based attendee Ferva Abidi summed up the evening perfectly: “Is there anything Shehzad Ghias Shaikh can’t do?”With a sold-out show at one of New York City’s most celebrated comedy venues, Shehzad Ghias Shaikh continues to break new ground for Pakistani performers on the world stage.
