Women climbs electric pole for wheat flour

A mother of five starving children Sunday climbed onto the high-tension pole of WAPDA in Pakpattan to have wheat flour for them, reported TV channels.

According to the eyewitnesses, the desperate woman took an extreme step and climbed an electric pole erected in the Pakpattan area because her children were hungry at home for many days with nothing to eat.

The woman was identified as Sajida Bibi wife of Amin, a resident of Badi Rakh, a suburban village of Pakpattan.

She demanded ten maunds of wheat to get down from the pole. She also threatened that she would commit suicide after touching the high-tension lines if her demand was not met.

To her dismay, the patrolling police took down the woman and handed over the woman to her heirs.

It could not be ascertained whether she succeeded in getting wheat for her five children or not.
